What is the recommended means to upgrade from the Visual Studio 2008 trial
version to the Visual Studio Professional 2008 version purchased with a MSDN
premium subscription?

Is there a product key that I can get from the web or do I have to wait
until the DVD arrives or do I have to download the whole Visual Studio image?

I couldn't find any clear directions here...

Thanks!

The MSDN version of VS 2008 does not come with a separate key. It's
"pre-pidded". Once you download the ISO or get the CD, you can try to
install it over the trial, but you also may find that you need to first
remove the trial and then install the MSDN product. If you look at the
content of your trial media, you'll find a readme that provides detailed
removal instructions.
